Noelle and Mark's Wedding
We are honored and grateful that you'll be joining us to celebrate our marriage!
Weekend Overview
We'll be getting married at Noelle's parish of many years, the Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle. It's a beautiful place with a rich history. The ceremony will begin at 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 15. The Cathedral is located at 1725 Rhode Island Avenue, NW, just off the intersection of Connecticut Avenue, Rhode Island Avenue, and M Street in Northwest Washington and about four blocks from the White House. (Incidentally, it's also across the street from the offices of The American Interest, where Mark and Noelle first met.)
The reception will be held at Hamiltonian Gallery in the historic U street neighborhood, not far from the cathedral. We'll start with cocktails at 7 pm. The gallery is located at 1353 U Street, NW.
If you're night owls like we are, please join us for an afterparty at Jack Rose Dining Saloon at 2007 18th Street NW.
On Sunday all are welcome to join us for a light brunch at the Madison Hotel, located at 1177 Fifteenth Street NW. Please ask at the front desk to be directed to our suite. We'll be there from 11:30 to 1:30.
If you haven't yet left town, please join us for Sunday Mass at Saint Matthew's at 5:30 pm, followed by cocktails and snacks at the nearby Tabard Inn: 1739 N Street, NW.
All of these locations can be seen on the map at the bottom of this page.
Getting Around
If you're flying in, we reccomend Reagan National Airport, which is a short drive or Metro trip to the neighborhood where all our gatherings will take place. For those nearer by, Union Station is a hub for trains and buses, and from there a cab or Metro train will get you to Dupont Circle within 20 minutes. Cabs are abundant and easy to hail throughout the city. If you have a smartphone, Uber is also a good option: just download its app and enter payment information, and it's easy to summon a car without cash or flagging down a vehicle in the street. If you elect to bring your car or rent one, please note that street parking may be a challenge in the downtown area (though there are many garages).
